Terms of Service

By using our chatbot (the “Service”), you’re agreeing to the following terms. If anything here doesn’t sit right with you, we kindly ask that you don’t use the Service.

About WP Assistant

WP Assistant is an AI-powered chatbot designed to assist users with WordPress and related topics. We use a combination of a proprietary database and a large language model (LLM) API to generate responses. While we strive to provide helpful and accurate information, we can’t guarantee that every answer will be perfect. Consider the Service as an “as-is” and “as-available” tool. WP Assistant does not replace professional advice, and users should verify critical information independently.

License Grant and Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use WP Assistant in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service without our explicit consent.

Who Can Use WP Assistant?

You must be at least 18 years old to use WP Assistant. If you’re under 18, you may only use the Service with a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

How You Should Use WP Assistant?

To keep things running smoothly, we ask that you:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and not for any fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activities.
  • Avoid transmitting malicious code, spam, or content that’s unlawful, abusive, or violates others’ rights.
  • Refrain from using the Service to generate or share intellectual property-infringing content, hate speech, or privacy-violating materials.
  • Only access the Service through our official interface — no automated scripts, bots, scraping, or hacking attempts, please!
  • Respect the integrity of the Service and avoid any activity that might disrupt or impair it.
  • Understand that our chatbot provides informational responses — it’s not a substitute for professional advice.
  • Keep your data and interactions secure. You’re responsible for how you use the Service.
  • Do not use WP Assistant for automated content generation or large-scale scraping beyond its intended use.

Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice on our website. Continued use of WP Assistant after such changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

What Data Do We Collect?

To improve WP Assistant, we may collect and store:

  • Your questions and interactions with the chatbot.
  • Metadata like timestamps, usage frequency, and interaction patterns.
  • Limited personal information if you register an account (such as your username and email address).
  • Technical data, including IP addresses and browser details.
  • Retention periods for this data vary but are typically limited to 12 months unless a deletion request is made.

We also use cookies and tracking technologies to enhance your experience. While we employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Sharing Your Data

WP Assistant sends user queries to third-party AI providers (like OpenAI, Google, or DeepSeek) to generate responses. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies, so we encourage you to review their terms separately.

We don’t sell or rent your data to third parties. However, we may share anonymized or aggregated data with research partners or to comply with legal requirements.

Security and International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred across different countries to ensure WP Assistant operates effectively. We take appropriate steps to comply with data protection laws, including GDPR and CCPA.

We also use SSL/TLS encryption for secure data transmission, regularly update our security practices, and implement access control and authentication mechanisms to protect your data. We conduct periodic security audits to address potential threats.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WP Assistant and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Dispute Resolution

If you ever have a dispute with us, we’ll first try to resolve it informally. If that doesn’t work, any disputes will be handled through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration

Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules in Nashville, Tennessee. The governing law for this agreement is the State of Tennessee.

Updates and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. If that happens, we’ll let you know. If you continue using WP Assistant after changes go into effect, it means you accept the updates.

We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Service at our discretion, without prior notice, especially if someone is violating these Terms.
